The National Math and Science Initiative, known as NMSI, partners with school districts, industry, government, and philanthropic organizations to strengthen STEM teaching and student outcomes. Since 2007, NMSI has trained more than 74,000 educators in nearly 2,000 schools, reaching more than 3 million students nationwide. Students who learn from NMSI-trained educators are more likely to feel confident in STEM courses, persist in postsecondary education, complete degrees, and earn STEM degrees at more than twice the national average.
