OUR MISSION

Advance STEM education to ensure all students, especially those furthest from opportunity, thrive and reach their highest potential as problem solvers and life-long learners who pursue their passions and tackle the world's toughest challenges.

HOW NMSI DRIVES SYSTEM-WIDE SUCCESS

Strong STEM outcomes require more than a single program or professional development session. NMSI partners with district leaders to align STEM learning pathways, strengthen instruction, support educators, and build systems that sustain success over time.

Understanding the Opportunity

Every district is working toward stronger student outcomes, but the path forward looks different in each community. NMSI begins by understanding your STEM goals, existing pathways, educator needs, and student outcomes. Together, we identify the opportunities with the greatest potential to strengthen teaching, expand student success, and support long-term growth.

Building the Right Systems

Lasting improvement requires more than a one-time intervention. NMSI works alongside district leaders to align STEM learning pathways, strengthen instruction, and support educators through professional learning, coaching, resources, and implementation support. From elementary school through graduation, we help districts build systems that support student success at every stage.

Measuring the Outcomes

Strong STEM systems create outcomes that extend beyond the classroom. After two years of partnership, NMSI schools see a 29% increase in the rate of qualifying AP scores. Students who learn from NMSI-trained educators are more likely to persist in postsecondary education, complete degrees, and earn STEM degrees at more than twice the national average.
